Yesterday I was doing school work (yes, teachers do work during their holidays), which consisted of catching up with reading the piles of stuff that finds its way into your pigeon hole but never seems to get read during term time. I had a list of ‘useful History sites’ so I thought I should check them out. Two hours later I realised I had added more and more to my favourites list, but hadn’t worked my way through the initial list because each site visited had links to ‘even better sites’! I need to stop doing this. It can get overwhelming and you end up using none of them. Just before packing it in for the night, I checked out a colleague’s site who was going through the large number of software/sites/plug-ins etc. he uses and it added to the paralysing, overwhelming feeling you can get when plunging into the world of ICT.

So, one step at a time. I’ve set up this blog. What is a blog and what purpose will it have?
